Buckeyes refuse to forgive Carson

By now, Carson Palmer's comments have spread throughout the Internet and through the radio waves. From Los Angeles to Cincinnati through wire services and radio stations Buckeye fans quickly dropped Carson Palmer into their hate lists, even those ardent Bengals fans who believe every year their team contains all Pro Bowlers.

As an Ohio State fan, I'm disgusted.

It pains me to be associated with the crazy people that have lost touch with reality over some noncombatant phrases. What Carson Palmer said was badly worded at worst, and something that should be shrugged off as something a fan and an alumnus would say. I'm not a Bengals fan, I have no specific affinity for Carson Palmer, he's just a guy who love his team and his school. Something that should be all too familiar to the same fans that are currently lambasting him.

I don't completely absolve Palmer, but I understand it. The only thing that irks me is the hypocrisy he showed in the following sentence, "It’s amazing to hear what those guys think about that university and what they think about that football program and Tressel." We think about our football program what you think of yours, but that's where poor choice of words come in.

Other than that, what's wrong with wanting to beat a team you're playing. I'm sure if he was playing in Indianapolis, he wouldn't feel so strong about the University of Indiana if they were playing SC. if anything it shows respect.

So I urge the fans to let this go, because I know I would want an AJ Hawk or a Troy Smith to defend their alma mater the same way, and not spit some pansy 'both teams are great" garbage." This is getting too much national attention for being a complete non-issue.

I'm not sure "sucks" is the right term, they did end up winning 11 games.

Not sure the transitive property works so well in sports. Stanford beat USC in LA.
